Frequently asked questions

Why only TikTok for now?

Scheduled publishing in GeniusClip is available for TikTok to subscribers with a linked account, and the clip is posted without a watermark. During the free trial, and for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, download your captioned vertical clips and post them yourself. Check each platform's requirements when publishing.

How does scheduling work?

With a subscription, first link your TikTok account on the Accounts page. Then schedule each clip in the built-in calendar, at the time you choose, and pick who can see it. At the scheduled time, GeniusClip posts it to your account and lets you know by email.

Which sources can I import from?

A YouTube, TikTok or Vimeo link, or an MP4 file uploaded from your computer.

What happens to my video?

It stays in your space, stored in Europe, and is deleted when your plan's retention period ends. To find the moments, artificial intelligence providers located outside the European Union (the United States and Singapore) transcribe the audio, then analyze the text and a few images of the video, and one of them may use it to improve its models: do not upload a video that contains confidential information. GeniusClip only uses your videos to train its own models with your explicit consent. The details are in the privacy policy.

What happens if processing fails?

The project stays visible with its status and the details you need to try again. When the failure comes from our servers, the credits used are given back automatically, without you having to open a ticket.

How long does a one-hour podcast take?

It mostly depends on how many clips you ask for. Before you start, the Studio shows an estimate of the processing time; while it runs, the project page shows a progress bar, the percentage, the current step and the estimated time left. You get an email when your clips are ready, so there is no need to keep the tab open.

Which languages does GeniusClip handle?

GeniusClip detects the spoken language and creates subtitles from the transcript, without translating the video. Titles, hooks, post descriptions and hashtags are written in French by default. When several languages are detected in a video, the Studio lets you rewrite those texts in one of them; changing a hook already burned into a clip requires rendering it again. Subtitles are designed for languages written in the Latin alphabet. The Studio interface is currently in French.

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, with no commitment. Cancelling takes two clicks: your subscription runs until the end of the paid period, then stops. Any credits you have left stay on your account, and your projects stay available for at least 30 days.

What is the official GeniusClip website?

GeniusClip (sometimes written Genius Clip) has one website in two languages: geniusclip.eu in English and geniusclip.fr in French. Your account, the Studio and payment are the same in both languages. Our emails (sign-in code, published clip…) come from an @geniusclip.eu address, and payment always goes through Stripe. Other sites using the GeniusClip name, such as geniusclip.com or geniusclip.ai, have nothing to do with us: don't create an account or pay anything there. The GeniusClip trademark is filed with the French IP office (INPI) under number 5314987. If in doubt, write to contact@geniusclip.eu.
